After a rather long hiatus, I bring you perhaps the most Infamous Vampire Hunting Bastards of all. The Cattygoths run one of my personal favorite web sites, so it is a true pleasure for me introduce you to these most outstanding members of the Vampire Hunting community. As most of you know, the Cattygoths run a highly controversial site entitled the Gothic Reality Check of the Week, the main purpose of which is to set straight those people who undeservedly win "Goth X of the X" Awards. Their critical write-ups of these dubiously distinguished "Reality Checks" is caustic, funny as all Hell, and often right on the mark.
In their own words:
The original three Cattys were born in the same litter. They
eventually knew that they were "different" than the rest of their
litter mates, and decided to go it alone in the world. As time passed,
they noticed quite a few of their littermates children and their
friends were into most "unsavory" representations of being a goth,
(such as "Domineering mistress" or "Plastic Fang Wearing Vampire" or
"Over Emotional Weepy Stereotype") and decided to make it known that
these people were to be laughed at instead of worshiped. Eventually, the Cats met others, who joined their litter, others that
felt the same way they did about this new breed of kittens. And today,
they are loved and adored, hated and despised by many far and wide.
Ahhh--A "purrfect" example of the Cattygoths' eloquence and wicked way with words! This, my friends, is why I could never run an anti-Goth web site--too much competition from people who are, alas, better at it than I.
Needless to say, the Cattygoths hold to a staunch anti-Vampire stance. Many of their humorous comments about the so-called "Vampiric Community" are available at their web site. Their favored Vampire Hunting Technique, aside from writing nasty things about them on their web site, is as follows:
Ridicule and laugh at them until they either threaten to kill themselves or they become so frustrated that they "try and get
revenge" Every Cat loves a good Vampire Steak every now and then.
This is all music to my ears! Yes, the Cattygoths are perhaps the Supreme Vampire Hunting Bastards of the Moment, and as such, can serve as role models to us all.
